Walking in her home, Evelia experiences the past, the present and the future at the same time. In the symbolic life she leads, governed by the god Janus, everything around her seems to speak to her, until visions are born poetic. In her eyes, there's the mauve sadness that other women and the joy of knowing that she existed/exists/will exist in multiple ways. Through the trance state that awakens the inner gaze, Evelia's anima connects with the anima mundi.
A film that reflects on time and the cyclicality of the human experience, from the feminine and intergenerational perspective. Symbology and mythology serve Evelia's character as catalysts for her inner life; of the dialogue between the earthly and the aerial dimension. Jano is the archetype that she approaches in the search for inner truth. Simonetta's eyes is about the memory that a person will leave behind; Evelia tells the viewer, with the language of the gaze: "one day, we will only be memory", but her gaze is more: it's the field of representation. Silent, introspective, representative of fractal trancesthetics, it's a film that starts from two references to symbolize the duality of existence: the eyes of Simonetta Vespucci in Botticelli's paintings, and the painting Camille on her deathbed, by Monet. The short film begins as a visual exploration through the creation of four hundred images made with artificial intelligence, with the common thread of shades of mauve, in a color statement.
